R. China. LPPM was founded as early as1986. Now LPPM is involved in multidisciplinary research activities covering fundamental science of plasma physics, nano-materials science and to some extent technology applications. All these activities are grouped under the same umbrella of plasma physics & plasma processing.

Research area

We are seeking to hire a Postdoc to join LPPM. The lab encompasses a broad cross-section of the systems required for plasma physics and plasma applications: from novel plasma source design and development of plasma source for material studies, to applications at atmosphere environment, emission spectroscopy and plasma-wall interaction regions.

The research focus of the position could fall anywhere within the LPPM and will be driven by the candidate's interests and LPPM development priorities.

A recent PhD in a related discipline.

Relevant experience working in a research laboratory environment.

Knowledge of one or more of the following disciplines: plasma physics, plasma applications, ion beam transport, beam-matter interactions, plasma chemistry, OES diagnostic, nano-materials science, organic solar cells, atomic layer deposition.

Specific knowledge of relevant simulation software packages (FLUKA, COMSOL Multiphysics, ANSYS etc.) and CAD software (SolidWorks) would be a valuable asset.

Demonstrated experience in hands on experimentation and related areas such as applied computing or electronics, mechanical design principles, vacuum techniques or plasma instrumentation would be advantageous.
